Beans in these coffees are blended from farms and estates our sister company in Brazil have sourced on our behalf. Drawn from the main coffee growing areas including Cerrado and Mogiana areas, coffees have to be clean and bright with all the key characteristics expected from a good Santos. This includes bold cocoa or chocolate notes, a pronounced nuttiness and a creamy/buttery mouthfeel.
Santos Fancy is grade applied to the NY 2/3 coffees indicating that the coffee is free from black/defect beans. Santos Fancy coffee is often an indicator of toffee like notes with and almost pear like fruitiness.
