ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Marcala
Located in the southwest of Honduras, Marcala is located in the Department of la Paz about 100 kilometres west of the capital of Honduras, Tegucigalpa. It is part of the Lenca trail and the only “protected origin denomination” area in Hondura. The region is known for coffee production, it is one of the few areas that still has predominantly traditional varietals like Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon,
Pacamara and Parainema planted. The region has ideal climatic conditions; high altitude, 1300 to 2300mm annual rainfall and temperatures ranging from 12-21ºC. All major contributors to this coffees flavour profile.
This coffee is Naturally processed, not an easy process at this altitude. The parchment is sund and machine dried.
