Profile
About the producer
Dimbulah Mountain Estate
Dimbulah is grown in the fertile soils of the Paddy’s Green area on the Atherton Tablelands in tropical Far North Queensland.
Dimbulah ensures quality through carefully controlled processes in production, irrigation and harvesting. To ensure most cherries are ripe at the same time, the flowering schedule of the plants is controlled through irrigation – causing a dry season at the right time to ensure a September/October harvest. Coffee is machine harvested and processed using the wet method.
It is interesting to note, that Dimbulah Mountain Estate is exactly 17 degrees of latitude south of the equator, the same latitude as the famous Jamaica Blue Mountains in the north!
