About the producer
Toffee Producers
The Cerrado Mineiro Region is a world recognised, high quality coffee producing area. It is the first Designation of Origin in Brazil, located in northwest of Minas Gerais State. Having well-defined seasons; a hot, wet summer and a pleasantly dry winter, are the main characteristics of the region. The coffee plantations are cultivated in areas with altitudes varying between 800 and 1,300 meters. The coffees are “Origin and Quality Guaranteed” by the Cerrado Mineiro Region - D.O. Regulatory Board.
Our Brazil Toffee is a blend of coffees from three farms in the Cerrado region:
Fazenda Talita
Owned and managed by Rogerio Nunes dos Santos, this is the highest of the three farms at 1007 MASL. The coffee varietal is Arara and Rogerio’s coffee goes through a Pulped Natural process.
Fazenda Esmeril
Antonio Custodio de Faria grows Mundo Novo and IAC 374-19 at an altitude of 994 MASL. The farm produces 9 tonnes of coffee annually
Fazenda Palmito
The lowest altitude of the three farms at 930 MASL, Cassemiro Nunes dos Santos grows the Catucaí 2SL varietal. The annual production of the farm is around 9 tonnes.
