About the producer
Selected Small Producers
The Poás, Irazu and Barva volcanoes tower over the traditional coffee plantations areas of the Central Valley and are the basis for the special soils and minerals of the area.
Tarrazú Volcanic coffee starts with cherries picked at the peak of harvest. The uniqueness of the coffee comes from using thermal water from volcanic hot springs during the fermentation stage. This delicate and closely monitored process plays a large part in the coffees unique characteristics.
Only 275 bags of this coffee are available annually and we have secured 100 bags of this special coffee.
